Dan Hood, former Research Showcase Outreach Coordinator, will define "institutional repository" (IR), cover the history of IRs, and highlight notable advances in open access publishing relating to IRs. The discussion will include an in-depth demonstration of Carnegie Mellon’s new institutional repository, a progress report, and discussion of future directions for the repository and related services. This event will be of interest to faculty, graduate students and anyone contributing the university's research output.
